Badges and Barbells

King County Sheriff’s Office Foundation (Greater King County PAL) has partnered with Highline School District at Evergreen High School and Kent School District at Cedar Heights Middle School to give First Responders and students opportunities to improve their health while also building positive relationships through the “Badges and Barbells Weightlifting Club”. This project has been many years in the making and will eventually expand to additional school campuses to serve more students and First Responders!

“Badges and Barbells” is a strength and conditioning program for students and First Responders (law enforcement/corrections/fire personnel) of all skill levels, including adaptive athletes. USAW Certified Coaches help participants identify their goals and adapt the program to meet their individual needs in a positive and supportive environment. There is no need to “get in shape” to get started, because the program will meet you where you are! The program includes basic linear strength progressions using compound movements followed by short conditioning workouts.
